Campers are rewarded with the discovery of their own, personal strengths through professional instruction in our enrichment courses. These programs provide a hands-on, fun, and relax learning environment that all campers enjoy.
Survival Class - Explore the
outdoors and discover ways in which to transform the natural world
around you into a habitable environment. In this class you'll become
familiar with all the necessary knowledge and skills to survive out in
the wilderness with nothing but the clothes on your back.
LEGO® Robotics
- Using the LEGO® Mindstorms® Robotics Invention System, you will learn
mechanical design, construction, programming, and teamwork skills while
building complex robots to complete a specific task.
Woodworking
– Master the tools and trade of a real woodshop; Use drill presses,
electric saws, and wood burners to manufacture your own chess boards,
plaques, and even working clocks.
Team Building:
(Low Ropes Course) – Learn what it takes to be an effective, efficient
team member as you “put yourself out there” to achieve a common goal. |  |
Science and Rocketry – Design, construct and launch model rockets while learning the details of planes, rockets and air travel.
Drama
- Perform on stage or in front of the camera as you learn the
fundamentals of acting and gain confidence and a broader appreciation
of the theater as a medium of self-expression.
MythBusters - Based on the hit Discovery Channel show. Investigate an urban legend, internet rumor, or popular belief by using the scientific method to determine whether it is true or BUSTED!
Creative Writing – Discover the joys of writing as you tap into the creative writer within you. Learn specific methods to craft poetry and prose, develop brainstorming ideas and proofreading techniques. Compose your own journal full of fresh and exciting prompts, poems, and ideas to keep you writing your entire life.
Archery - Learn the history and tools of archery. Then become the modern day Robin Hood through instruction on the technique of shooting a bow and arrow.
Fashion Design
– Introduce yourself to basic sewing techniques while producing basic
patterns and sample garments. Learn from a fashion design expert how to
discover the secrets of style and create a new fashion.
Dance - Develop co-ordination and rhythm, communication skills and confidence building while learning to get creative with a range of popular dance styles such as jazz, urban street, hip-hop, contemporary, and salsa.
